Abstract
The sequence of behaviors associated with the predation of Gauropterus chalybaeus (Mannerheim) on Canthon angustatus Harold is described, il lustrating the predator strategy of removing prey appendages before co nsumption. Similar behaviors are described involving other predators o n arthropods.
