Abstract
Ataxia brunnea Champlain and Knull, Mecas rotundicollis (Thomson), Tet raopes femoratus LeConte and Tetraopes texanus Horn (Coleoptera: Ceram bycidae) are reported for the first time from the Black Belt Prairie o f Mississippi and Alabama. The latter species is also reported from th e Jackson Prairie in Mississippi. These records represent a disjunctio n from their previously known distributions in the Great Plains and mi dwestern states. Asclepias viridis Waiter is reported as the likely ho st of both T. femoratus and T. texanus in the Black Belt Prairie.
