Abstract
Preparation of the previously unavailable 1,2-diacetoxycycloalkenes fr om the corresponding 1,2-bis-(trimethylsilyloxy)cycloalkenes using 4-p yrrolidinopyridine as catalyst is described. A similar conversion of t wo acyclic systems is also reported.
