Abstract
In this paper, a system of nonlinear partial differential equations mo delling the dynamics of martensitic phase transitions in shape memory alloys is further investigated. In a previous paper published in SIAM J. Math. Anal., the global existence of a unique solution and the asym ptotic behaviour of the solution as time goes to infinity have been es tablished; in the present paper the existence of a compact maximal att ractor is proved.
