Abstract
The microwave microstrip ring resonator (MRR) is perturbed by a flexib le, nondestructive method of keeping cross and partial overlays of Al2 O3 strips. The splining of the resonance curve is observed with amplit ude variations as expected theoretically, but is not observed below a critial perturbation. Further empirical relations are reported for the first time, for the odd-mode frequency (f(ro)) and even-mode frequenc y (f(re)) variations, giving f(re) changes proportional to the perturb ation, but f(ro) being independent of the same.
