Ra. Yogi et al., SPLIT MODES IN ASYMMETRIC MICROSTRIP RING-RESONATOR BY FLEXIBLE PERTURBATION, Microwave and optical technology letters, 19(2), 1998, pp. 168-171
The microwave microstrip ring resonator (MRR) is perturbed by a flexib
le, nondestructive method of keeping cross and partial overlays of Al2
O3 strips. The splining of the resonance curve is observed with amplit
ude variations as expected theoretically, but is not observed below a
critial perturbation. Further empirical relations are reported for the
first time, for the odd-mode frequency (f(ro)) and even-mode frequenc
y (f(re)) variations, giving f(re) changes proportional to the perturb
ation, but f(ro) being independent of the same. (C) 1998 John Wiley &
