An. Grib et al., THE THRESHOLD OF PHASE-LOCKING IN THE SYSTEM OF 2 MULTIJUNCTION SUPERCONDUCTING LOOPS, Journal of low temperature physics, 112(5-6), 1998, pp. 323-336
Coherent behavior (phase locking) in rite system of two super conducti
ng loops containing arrays of Josephson junctions and influencing each
other. by means of mutual inductance was numerically investigated. It
is shown that under certain conditions the mutual interaction between
loops can result in total phase-locking of the system. The threshold
of the locking state depends on the strength of the interaction (mutua
l inductance). Tt is found that the basic behavior of the system in th
e phase-locked state can be explained by means of simple model of sing
le multi-function loop with an effective inductance which depends on m
utual inductance. It is shown that synchronization in this system is p
ossible and the mutual interaction increases the stability of phase lo
cking in arrays.
