S. Lopatnikov et Ahd. Cheng, A THERMODYNAMICALLY CONSISTENT FORMULATION OF MAGNETOPOROELASTICITY, International journal of solids and structures, 35(34-35), 1998, pp. 4637-4657
The dynamical theory of a porous, elastic, and magnetically inert soli
d body infiltrated by a ferromagnetic liquid is formulated. This type
of magnetoporoelastic material opens a wide range of technical applica
tions, such as controlled Vibration dampers, sensors, and adaptive mir
rors. The irreversible deformation and nonlinear coupling among the so
lid elastic, fluid rheological and magnetic effects is derived based o
n the Biot-Frenkel theory with thermodynamic considerations. The therm
al effect, however, is not considered in this paper; A linearized vers
ion of constitutive equations and the dynamic equations are introduced
