Abstract
Three-dimensional displacement discontinuity solutions for linear elas tic, homogeneous, isotropic, fluid-saturated media are derived. The so lutions are obtained from a combination of point force dipoles and an instantaneous fluid source. These solutions are the Green's functions necessary for a numerical boundary element technique known as displace ment discontinuity method. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights r eserved.
