Abstract
This paper discusses the conditions for efficient injection modulation of the photocarriers at the boundary between the generation and the t hermoplastic transport layers by introducing an insulator layer, in or der to implement the method of internal rasterizing of a two-layer pho tothermoplastic material with injection sensitization operating in the sequential process that we proposed earlier. It is established that, for polyvinyl butyral, the optimum conditions are attained when the la yer is 0.1-0.5 mu m thick. (C) 1998 The Optical Society of America.
