Abstract
This paper presents our work on magnetic modeling of degaussing coils. The main reason of bad results on coils effects is a locally insuffic ient mesh. Instead of using a finer and expensive mesh, we propose an alternative method named ''reduced potential jump'' to solve the probl em of coils and present comparative results on a simple geometry and o n a ship model.
