Abstract
Equivalence between the equations off the reluctance network method an d the equations of the edge element method has been presented. The edg e values of magnetic vector potential represent the loop fluxes in rel uctance network. Magnetomotive forces in the branches of the reluctanc e network are defined by the edge values of current vector potential. The magnetic scalar potential is determined in the centre of gravity o f the element. The reluctance network formed by the edge element metho d contains mutual reluctances.
