Ih. Park et al., HIGH-ORDER FREQUENCY SENSITIVITY FOR NONSINUSOIDAL STEADY-STATE ANALYSIS IN LINEAR MAGNETODYNAMICS, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 34(5), 1998, pp. 2555-2558
A number of electromagnetic devices periodically driven by solid-state
switches have been analyzed with time-stepping finite element method,
which requires much time to reach a steady state, the sensitivity ana
lysts which have been used for the shape design is employed for an eff
icient analysis of linear magnetodynamics with nonsinusoidal driving s
ources. The high-order frequency sensitivity from the time-harmonic fi
nite element formulation is used along with Fourier transform and Tayl
or series expansion. The algorithm is validated through two numerical
examples of a single-phase transformer iind an induction heating syste
m driven by a trapezoidal voltage source.
