Abstract
This study investigates the dynamic characteristics of Synchronous Rel uctance Motor (SynRM), with segmental rotor structure, using finite el ement method in which the moving mesh technique is considered. The foc us of this paper is the general property and speed response characteri stic of SynRM under saturation and iron loss. Extensive experimental w ork has been conducted to verify the accuracy of proposed analysis met hod.
