Abstract
This paper presents the multiobjective optimal design of induction mot or for Electric Vehicle(EV) using a modified evolution strategy(ES). T he Optimization process is performed by using (1+1) evolution strategy (ES). The conventional ES algorithm falls into a trap of local minima with high probability in solving the optimization problem that has man y design variables. To overcome this problem, ES algorithm is modified by introducing shaking technique. To verify its validity, the propose d method is applied to an induction motor design.
