M. Hecquet et P. Brochet, TIME-VARIATION OF FORCES IN A SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE USING ELECTRIC COUPLED NETWORK MODEL, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 34(5), 1998, pp. 3214-3217
Radial forces between stator teeth and rotor claw inside a claw-pole a
lternator are investigated here, Typically three dimensional, the comp
lete machine has been modelled as a coupled electric and magnetic circ
uit, with the aim of saving simulation time. Radial forces are obtaine
d for several rotation speeds and stator currents. These results are c
ompared with those of a 3D finite element analysis package, considered
as reference results. A few typical results are also compared with me
asurements. Accuracy is sufficient to assess that the permeance networ
k models, taking into account nan linearities such as magnetic saturat
ion, electronic commutations, and rotor movement, realise a good compr
omise between simulation time and precision.
