Ia. Razenkov et al., AN OPEN-TYPE AUTOMATIC NEPHELOMETER FOR ATMOSPHERIC STUDIES AND ITS APPLICATIONS, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 33(3), 1998, pp. 256-259
An intelligent nephelometer of the open type designed for in situ stud
ies of the atmosphere is described. The nephelometer operates in the n
ear IR wavelength range. The construction and the concept of the devic
e allow it either to work independently during several hours or to be
operated remotely at a distance up to 500 m from the central host comp
uter. This nephelometer is a new class of intelligent instruments inte
nded for long-term application in open air and allowing the receipt of
qualitative and quantitative information about the scattering coeffic
ient in situ.
