V. Gisiger, REGULATION OF GENE-EXPRESSION BY TRANSSYNAPTIC ACTIVITY - A ROLE FOR THE TRANSCRIPTION FACTOR NF-KAPPA-B, J PHYSL-PAR, 92(3-4), 1998, pp. 163-166
Earlier studies in the sympathetic ganglion have led to the proposal t
hat adaptation of transcription to trans-synaptic activity is controll
ed by a signal transduction pathway featuring a transcription factor w
hich translocates to the nucleus upon its release from the post-synapt
ic membrane by after-hyperpolarization. In light of recent progress, i
t is proposed here that NF-kappa B constitutes the postulated transcri
ption factor. ((C)Elsevier, Paris).
