Ks. Han et al., ROOM-TEMPERATURE FABRICATION OF LITHIUM COBALT OXIDE THIN-FILM ELECTRODES BY LITHIUM HYDROXIDE SOLUTION TREATMENT, Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 81(9), 1998, pp. 2465-2468
An economical, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly solution
process was used to prepare lithiated thin-film electrodes as a catho
de for lithium rechargeable microbatteries. Well-crystallized and elec
trochemically active lithium cobalt oxide thin-film electrodes were sp
ontaneously fabricated in a single synthetic step in a 4M lithium hydr
oxide solution at room temperature without any postsynthesis annealing
. The estimated film properties show that the obtained spinel lithium
cobalt oxide films (space group Fd3m) has possible use as a desired ca
thode film.
