Abstract
The effect of the structure of solutions of PVC and its mixtures with poly(methyl methacrylate) in thermodynamically poor solvent (1,2,3-tri chloropropane) on PVC thermal stability was studied. PVC macromolecule s form associates whose sizes become much larger when PMMA is added to the PVC-solvent system. Appreciable changes in the PVC supermolecular structure occurring in solution markedly affect the rate of its therm al degradation.
