Abstract
The deformation behavior of PE was studied in model samples of a polye thylene-vulcanized rubber composition. It was found that, under certai n conditions depending on the mechanical properties and component rati o of the composition, the deformation of PE proceeded without the stag e of neck formation. Stress-strain diagrams of uniform extension were obtained for LDPE and HDPE.
