K. Urashima et al., REDUCTION OF NOX FROM NATURAL-GAS COMBUSTION FLUE-GASES BY CORONA DISCHARGE RADICAL INJECTION TECHNIQUES, IEEE transactions on industry applications, 34(5), 1998, pp. 934-939
An experimental investigation has been conducted to reduce NOx in natu
ral gas combustion due gases by means of corona-discharge-activated am
monia/methane radical injection methods, The multihole-type corona rad
ical injectors are used in the present investigation, Experiments were
conducted for the simulated natural gas combustion flue gas (N-2:O-2:
CO2:NO = 83.96:8:8:0.04) flow rate from 1 to 200 L/min, the activation
voltage (de or pulse) from 0 to 40 kV, and the Ar-ammonia or Ar-metha
ne mixture gases how rate from 0 to 200 mL/min. The results show that
the NOx reduction increases with increasing activation voltage and non
monotonically depends on ammonia/methane stoichiometry.
