K. Russa et al., TORQUE-RIPPLE MINIMIZATION IN SWITCHED RELUCTANCE MACHINES OVER A WIDE SPEED RANGE, IEEE transactions on industry applications, 34(5), 1998, pp. 1105-1112
A torque-ripple minimization technique for switched reluctance motors
(SRM's) is presented. The technique is particularly suitable for appli
cations requiring wide speed range of operation. A new, simple, yet ef
ficient commutation strategy is proposed. The commutation algorithm is
speed dependent and uses a real-time approach instead of precalculate
d stored data. The model used for the SRM in the controller can also t
ie updated in real time. Simulation and experimental results verify th
e feasibility of implementing the proposed control algorithm in real t
ime.
