Abstract
Elucidation of the nature of cellular microenvironments in recent year s yields some far-reaching implications for the science of biothermody namics and, by implication, for the discernment of where/when heat is produced in the organism. Modem-day physical principles from informati on theory and from geometrodynamics may be used to understand the micr oscale nature of heat-production in biological systems.
