Abstract
An MPEG2 MP@ML Video Encoder LSI has been developed integrating a moti on estimation (with maximum search area of +/- 288 horizontal and +/-9 6 vertical pixels) and many functions for consumer application use. Tw o algorithms are used for motion estimation and low power consumption is achieved by using special design methodology.[1] In this paper, the system architecture is described.
