Abstract
Methods for the conversion of long-chained 2-(perfluoroalkyl)-ethanols into new reactive intermediates and surfactants are described. The pr oducts of acylation, phosphorylation and alkylation, which were obtain ed in high yields, are characterized by NMR and IR spectroscopy. In or der to examine the interfacial properties of the new surfactants the s urface tension isotherms of their aqueous solutions have been determin ed.
