A patient with a four-week history of hypaesthesia and recurrent swell
ing of the cheek in the left infraorbital region presented with a comp
uted tomography (CT) scan demonstrating an expansion in the infraorbit
al nerve canal, thought to be a neuroma. The tumour was surgically rem
oved without complications and no bleeding. Histopathological investig
ation showed a partially thrombosed cavernous haemangioma. To our know
ledge, after reviewing the Literature, this is the first report of a c
avernous haemangioma in the infraorbital nerve canal.
