ON THE THERMODYNAMIC LIMIT FOR HARTREE AND HARTREE-FOCK TYPE MODELS

We early on here our study [4], [5] of the thermodynamic limit for var ious models of Quantum Chemistry, focusing on Hai-tree and Hartree-Foc k type models. For the restricted Hartree and the reduced Hartree-Fock models, we prove the existence of the thermodynamic limit for the ene rgy per unit volume. We also define periodic problems associated to th e Hartree and Hartree-Fock models, and prove that they are bath mathem atically well-posed. (C) Academie des Sciences/Elsevier, Paris
