A. Maquet et al., THE COULOMB GREENS-FUNCTION AND MULTIPHOTON CALCULATIONS, Journal of physics. B, Atomic molecular and optical physics, 31(17), 1998, pp. 3743-3764
The general properties of the Coulomb Green's function are presented,
together with its available compact integral representations and discr
ete state expansions. These representations are most useful as they pr
ovide elegant and efficient ways to compute 'exact' values of high-ord
er perturbative matrix elements in hydrogen. Such calculations are of
interest as they represent accurate benchmark data for multiphoton tra
nsition probabilities. Recent applications involving the Coulomb Green
's function for the Dirac equation are also reviewed.
