Abstract
General absorbing boundary conditions based on Blot's two-phase mixtur e theory and paraxial approximation is presented for the dynamic analy sis of fluid-saturated porous media with isotropic, transverse isotrop ic, and anisotropic properties, For the last two cases, the equivalent Lame's constants, under conditions of uniqueness, are introduced to f acilitate the analytical solutions. The numerical results show that th e proposed absorbing boundary can greatly suppress spuriously reflecte d waves and efficiently model the far field of the system with suffici ent accuracy.
