Abstract
Linear poly-4- and poly-2-vinylpyridines and copolymers of these with divinylbenzene have been used as an efficient solid phase for the synt hesis of acid anhydrides and amides, by pyridinium catalyzed acyl tran sfer to carboxylic acids or amines, respectively, in equimolar amounts . (S,S)-CBZAla-TrpCO(2)Me dipeptide was obtained in good yield in a mu lti-phase application.
