Abstract
This is the second in a series of articles on the numerical solution o f Friedrich's conformal field equations for Einstein's theory of gravi ty. We will discuss in this paper the numerical methods used to solve the system of evolution equations obtained from the conformal field eq uations. In particular we discuss in detail the choice of gauge source functions and the treatment of the boundaries. Of particular importan ce is the process of ''radiation extraction'' which can be performed i n a straightforward way in the present formalism. [S0556-2821(98)05616 -1].
