Hw. Yu, AVERAGED ENERGY CONDITIONS IN 4D EVAPORATING BLACK-HOLE BACKGROUNDS -ART. NO. 064017, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 5806(6), 1998, pp. 4017
Using Visser's semianalytical model for the stress-energy tensor corre
sponding to the conformally coupled massless scalar field in the Unruh
vacuum, we examine, by explicitly evaluating the relevant integrals o
ver half-complete geodesics, the averaged weak and averaged null energ
y conditions along with Ford-Roman quantum inequality-type restriction
s on negative energy in the context of four-dimensional evaporating bl
ack hole backgrounds. We find that in all cases where the averaged ene
rgy conditions fail, there exist quantum inequality bounds on the magn
itude and duration of negative energy densities. [S0556-2821(98)02618-
