New results of the transport and electronic properties of DyCo3B2 comp
ound are reported. This compound crystallizes in the hexagonal CeCo3B2
type structure. The resistivity at low temperatures shows a T-2 depen
dence, implying that the electron-spin wave scattering is dominant in
this temperature range. The experimental results are discussed on the
basis of s-d scattering in the high temperature range. The electronic
structure of DyCo3B2 compound is calculated by self-consistent spin-po
larised LMTO method. The calculated contribution from the band structu
re to the resistivity is close to the experimental results. (C) 1998 E
