Abstract
The equation of state of the baryonic matter containing nucleons and d elta particles using the derivative scalar coupling model is studied. Comparison of the results with those obtained in a nonlinear sigma-ome ga model yields the same equilibrium value of the effective mass and t he compressibility constant.
