Thermal expansion measurements have been performed on the ternary allo
y system, Fe3-xMnxAl for x = 0.3, 0.9, and 1.2 to study the effect of
Mn substitution on their thermal and magnetic properties. The vibratio
nal and magnetic contributions to thermal expansion, specific heat, an
d entropy for these alloys have been determined using a theoretical mo
del and various Gruneisen parameters have been obtained.
