Abstract
Eight new coumarin glycosides were isolated from the methanolic extrac t of the root and rhizoma of Glehnia littoralis FR, SCHMIDT ex MIQ. (U mbelliferae; ''hamabofu'' in Japanese). From the results of spectral i nvestigation, they were characterized as glycosides of (S)-peucedanols , (S)-7-O-methylpeucedanols, marmesin and hydroxyimperatorin derivativ es, respectively.
