Abstract
The activity coefficients in infinite dilution have been predicted for binary systems formed by hydrocarbons and alcohols (1-, 2-alkanols). The new local composition model (the NRTLmKWA) has been used for these calculations. The results obtained have been compared with the recomm ended values of activity coefficients in infinite dilution. They have been also fully discussed with regard to the use of the NRTLmKWA model for thermodynamic description of organic systems at the low and moder ate pressure.
