Abstract
Granulomas in goldfish (Carassius auratus) induced by a systemic infec tion with amoebae are described. Parasites from cells of peripheral la minations and from the tissue surrounding the granulomas had food vacu oles, pseudopodia and ectoplasm. Therefore, the organisms were identif ied as amoebe.
