Three new species of Erica from the Western Cape Province of South Afr
ica are described and illustrated. Their probable affinities and known
distributions are discussed. Erica cabernetea is a very restricted en
demic in the Elgin Basin, E. navigatoris is known only from two well-s
eparated inland mountains, and E. cedromontana occurs widespread in th
e Cedarberg mountains on rock faces.
