Abstract
We report an 8-month-old girl, only child of unrelated parents, who wa s admitted to the hospital with the suspicion of spina bifida. Nuclear magnetic resonance showed a complex spinal malformation characterized by dorsal diastematomyelia and hydromyelia. Clinical presentation tre atment and genetic counselling are discussed.
