Cs. Wang et al., ELECTROCHEMICAL HYDROGEN AND LITHIUM ABSORPTION DESORPTION IN TI46NI45NB9 ALLOY IN AQUEOUS-ELECTROLYTES/, Journal of power sources, 75(1), 1998, pp. 122-129
The electrochemical performance of a Ti46Ni45Nb9 electrode in differen
t solutions has been studied. The Ti46Ni45Nb9 electrode can absorb/des
orb hydrogen in 3 M KOH aqueous and lithium in non-aqueous solution (1
M LiClO4 dissolved in a 50/50 vol.% (v/o) mixture of ethylene carbona
te and diethyl carbonate), respectively. It is assumed that lithium an
d hydrogen are incorporated in the Ti46Ni45Nb9 electrode in saturated
LiCl + LiOH solution and result in a more positive potential value of
hydrogen desorption and an abnormal discharge curve. (C) 1998 Elsevier
