Abstract
Exemplified by recent temperature-dependent measurements from the auth ors' laboratory it is shown that precise complex permittivity spectra obtained by the use of time domain and frequency domain methods in the mega- to gigahertz range yield specific information on solvent dynami cs as well as on ion-solvation and ion-association phenomena not avail able so far.
