This report describes the classification, clinical profile, etiology,
and management of high-grade squamous vulvar intraepithelial-neoplasia
(VIN). Recent studies have better defined the progressive potential o
f high grade VIN and the relationship of such lesions to squamous vulv
ar carcinoma. The histologic classification and descriptions have unde
rgone significant refinement over the past decade. The increasing use
of more conservative therapeutic approaches to high grade VIN has dema
nded greater expertise in clinical evaluation to ensure invasive disea
