Abstract
In this work we report a study of radiative interband recombinations i n Si periodic multilayer GaAs systems. Photoluminescence and time-reso lved photoluminescence measurements were performed, in order to discri minate band-to-band transitions, recombination of quantum confined ele ctrons and photogenerated holes, as well as impurity assisted transiti ons. Results have been compared with self-consistent calculations, con sidering radiative recombination with heavy holes.
