Abstract
8-Dimethyl-2,8-bis(aminomethyl)nonane-1,9-diamine, prepared by catalyt ic hydrogenation of 2,2,8,8-tetracyanononane, condenses with formaldeh yde to precipitate a polymer which by heating is isomerized to the sep ticyclic title compound, whose X-ray structure has been determined.
