La. Kuznetsova et al., ENAMEL COMPOSITIONS BASED ON GELLING SOLUTIONS OF ALKALINE SILICATES, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 71(4), 1998, pp. 567-569
Various methods of physicochemical analysis were used to study alkalin
e silicates in the form of initial aqueous solutions (Hoeppler viscome
ter and NMR spectroscopy) and solid compounds after heat treatment at
80-850 degrees C (differential-thermal and X-ray phase analyses; IR sp
ectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy). The data obtained made it p
ossible to choose optimal compositions for glassy components of enamel
formulations synthesized by sol-gel technology.
