S. Elezi et al., CLINICAL AND ANGIOGRAPHIC OUTCOME AFTER STENT PLACEMENT FOR CHRONIC CORONARY-OCCLUSION, The American journal of cardiology, 82(6), 1998, pp. 803
A consecutive series of 132 patients with total chronic coronary occlu
sions were compared with 1,966 patients with stenotic lesions in terms
of angiographic and clinical outcome. We concluded that patients with
chronically occluded coronary lesions present a higher rate of target
lesion revascularizations and angiographic restenosis than patients w
ith stenotic lesions.
