Abstract
Intravenous metoprolol was found to be significantly more effective th an placebo in preventing head-up tilttable induced neurally mediated s yncope. The reproducibility of acute tilt-table testing is only 63% an d suggests caution in the interpretation of acute drug testing during tilt-table studies.
