Abstract
Two simple vehicles and four matching track cases are presented to all ow comparison of the capabilities of the various computer simulation p ackages currently being used to model the dynamic behaviour of railway vehicles. The benchmarks presented here were agreed at the Internatio nal Workshop on COMPUTER SIMULATION OF RAIL VEHICLE DYNAMICS at Manche ster Metropolitan University on June 23rd and 24th 1997.
