Abstract
Primary culture of rabbit hepatocytes was used for study the influence of hypolipidemic drug bezafibrate on bile acid production. Bezafibrat e inhibits bile acid synthesis from endogenous and exogenous (lipoprot ein) cholesterol at concentration range 1-10 mug/ml. Such inhibitory a ction of bezafibrate on bile acid synthesis should be kept in mind whi le applying hypolipidemic treatment.
